I Woke up this Morning….
I woke up this morning and for no particular reason, hoped that it was raining, Being an outdoor kind of person, rain is often unwelcome, but with the hot winter we have had, the sound of rain on the roof would have been so comforting, even if I had to get up to go to work.
I woke up this morning thinking of a close family member facing some challenges of late and worried if she was going to be ok.
I woke up this morning mindful of the fact it was Tuesday and I was hoping to catch the young man with the perfectly folded blanket, but he was not there. I couldn’t help but wonder if he had just found better pickings or had come to some harm. Maybe next Tuesday.
I woke up this morning marveling at the fact that August was almost done, and within the next 4 weeks or so we can expect to start hearing Christmas adverts. Where does the time go? When I was a child, Christmas, and birthdays took an age to come around and now I am trying to slow the clock down.
I woke up this morning thinking of a friend facing life altering tragedy for the second time in 3 months. I wondered how he was going to cope and how I would cope if it was me. I ask the creator to instill peace into his life.
I woke up this morning, and still half asleep, felt a kiss on my cheek from my wife as she left for her day in the office. How she puts up with me is a mystery, she has always been an early bird, a very early bird, completely the opposite of me.
I woke up this morning with things I had to do today that would enable some people, keep my staff employed and be an ambassador for positivity in an environment beset with reasons to be negative.
